I am a lecturer in Korean at Penn State University and a doctoral candidate (ABD) in the Department of East Asian Languages and Literatures with an emphasis in Korean language and linguistics at University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. Before joining the Department of Asian studies at Penn State, I taught Korean language at Harvard University and University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. I also taught Korean as a second language from the beginning to the advanced levels at Seoul Women’s University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seoul, South Korea, before coming to the United States to earn my doctoral degree.
