Biography:
My name is Archana Singh, and I am a feminist geographer. I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Geography at Penn State. I am interested in understanding the spatialities of women’s leisure in Lucknow city, India. I aim to look beyond the conventional understanding of leisure that is place and activity-centric and focus on women’s everyday experiences of leisure, which are governed by multiple actors and various scales. I primarily work with qualitative methods and sometimes use GIS and statistical tools in my research.
