Biography:
Bangce Cheng is a first-year PhD student in comparative literature and Asian studies. He is interested in translation and modern China, with a focus on cultural encounters both within China and between China and other countries. His previous research deals with the politics of translating modern Chinese literature into English. At Penn State, he will continue to explore the linguistic and cultural complexities of Sino-Western exchanges.
