Biography:
Byron Po is a first-year PhD student in Applied Linguistics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics. Byron’s current research interests center on language ideologies, race and ethnicity, identity, and political discourse analysis. Byron speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese, and he is thrilled to be joining the Applied Linguistics Department and Asian Studies Department at Pennsylvania State University as a dual-titled PhD student.
