Biography:
Eunice Ying Ci LIM is a PhD Candidate in Comparative Literature and Asian Studies. Her research interests are in translingual studies, postcoloniality, decoloniality, language policy, digital media, and sound studies. Specifically, her work focuses on the literature, media, and popular culture of Contemporary Southeast and East Asia, as well as the Asian diasporas. Her dissertation seeks to develop an interdisciplinary, translingual approach to Singapore literature and media, attending to the Cold War and postcolonial specificities of their urban and sonic architectures. Eunice has published single-authored and first-authored book chapters in Routledge and Marshall Cavendish, as well as an article in the journal Antipodes. She also currently serves as the Modern Language Association Regional Delegate for the Middle Atlantic Region (Jan 2021 – Jan 2024).
