Biography:
Her primary research interests are in democratization and elite behavior from a cross-national perspective as well as the politics of developing nations and new democracies.
Her work appeared in Political Analysis and she has published two books Negotiating Democracy (with Michelle M. Taylor), and, Fragile Democracies: The Legacies of Authoritarian Rule. She came to Penn State in 1998 from Caltech and from Texas A&M.
