This two-day symposium at Penn State examines the limits, contours and contents of what has been categorized as “Asia” or “Asian.” The symposium includes scholars from various disciplines and eras broadly addressing this topic. All papers presented at the symposium will be considered for possible publication of a special issue of Verge: Studies in Global Asias. We invite submissions for the symposium, for the journal, or for both.
