Korean Language Student Wins Second Place at Korean Poetry Recitation

One of our Korean language students won the 2nd Place at the 2023 Online Korean Poetry Recitation Contest hosted by the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles (KCCLA) and the King Sejong Institute Center to commemorate the 577th Anniversary of Korean Alphabet Hangul Day (October 2023).

She writes:
My name is Wan Amira Sofea Binti Wan Zainal Abidin but I go with Sofea Zainal. I’m from Malaysia. I’m currently majoring in Finance and planning to minor in Korean. Since I was in primary school, I was exposed to Korean music. I wanted to understand the lyrics better so I was inspired to learn the language. I enjoy Korean food and Korean R&B the most.
