Korean Major Wins 28th Seol-Bong Scholarship
Penn State undergraduate, Juntae Rocker, has been awarded the 28th Seol-Bong Scholarship. Juntae, a fourth-year Honors Student in the College of the Liberal Arts, double majors in Asian Studies and Korean. The Seol-Bong Scholarship awards students in higher education for their academic excellence and community service. Through this scholarship, they hope to instill the late Chairman’s philosophy into all that pass through their foundation: “Cherish your Credibility as you cherish your life!”
Juntae will use the scholarship to support his last semester at Penn State and pursue a career in US-ROK security and diplomacy. He hopes to eventually return and become a donor to honor the late Chairman’s lifelong vision of helping Korean American students fulfill their dreams of higher education.
